I have been through a few harnesses in my time and this one rates pretty high with me. I would give it 4 out of 5 paws. First off I LOVED how many wonderful patterns she had to choose from and it was quite a hard choice. Both of my dogs I also have difficulty buying harnesses for them that fit because evidently they have strange bodies (they are more fit than most dogs). I loved that if your dog did not fit into one of her predetermined sizes she was fully willing to make a custom one for your dog. I like the option of a harness for a small dog because I am always worried about the dog pulling on their collar and have read some research about it causing damage to their trachea.
The harness fits very well and is easy to put on, Pixel hates things going on over her head so this was great. The D ring seems very secure. She has great choices for both male and female dogs. The fabric is soft and although my dogs fur is like little needles I haven’t seen much at all sticking to the harness. I have used the harness for both walking her on a leash and buckling her into the basket on my bike for a ride. Funny enough without realizing it at the time I picked the design of the harness it actually matches my bike. I like that the strap around her neck is not too thick something that I have seen on other harnesses that make it uncomfortable for the dog to have full freedom of movement. I have also had some issues with harnesses in the past rubbing Pixel in the armpit area and rubbing her raw, I see no indication of this issue happening with this harness.
There is really only 2 downsides that I would note for the harness, and thus why it only got 4 out of 5 paws. The first one being that if she does tend to run around a bit it bunches up a little, perhaps making it a little longer would help with this. The second issue is that I do not feel this would be a safe harness to use to buckle in, in my car simply because it doesn’t have buckles. I don’t think the velcro would hold her safe if there was an accident, even though there is a fair amount of it. It would be nice to be able to use the same harness from the car to a leash and it still be fashionable.
