This is unfortunate on their end and looks bad from a business standpoint. How is it fraudulent to link to their website which posted the coupon in the first place? Telling people to sign into their own PetPerks account and print a coupon that was placed in there BY PetSmart is NOT fraudulent. My opinion is they are making an excuse because they were not expecting the large amount of people to actually print the coupon they added into their accounts. A company as large as theirs should have been more prepared for the large amount of traffic to their site.

Upon further investigation the website that posted the coupon fraudulently was a popular forum and someone turned it into a .pdf document, which means that anyone could use multiple coupons instead of only the 2 that was originally allowed via petperks. So I can understand why they would take the coupon down because that is indeed fraud and people who abuse the system ruin it for the rest of us.
my petsmart told me they will no longer even be issuing this particular coupon any more. No more $5 off $5 because of all the problems that have arisen from it. I contacted corporate prior to that because that same store didn’t want to take my coupon and the email I got back from them said nothing about the coupon being a fraud.
Hey Becka, the coupon was indeed a legit coupon located in everyone’s PetPerks account. What happend though is someone illegally made a .pdf copy of it and people were printing thousands of the illegal coupon, rather than printing the one located in their PetPerks account. I’m sorry that you had to deal with that, luckily though many people were able to use the coupon legitimately before the fake .pdf became viral. Thank you for your comment. :)
i read where this was not a legit coupon. i logged into my pet perks act many times and it never showed…then i read an email that said it was cancelled b/c someone had sent it over the internet and petsmart had removed it…anyway it never showed up in my act and i checked my pet perks many times since i first heard abt this coupon a few wks ago.
