I tried this at my Walgreens and the coupon beeped. The cashier gave it back to me and said it doesn’t work so I couldn’t use it. I assume because of the penny overage was the reason it beeped and wouldn’t work. I did have other items I was buying to cover the “penny overage” but the cashier wouldn’t take it. Anyone else have this problem?
What a bummer! Sorry about that Shelley. I’m sure it is different for everyone based on what their Walgreens will and will not allow. Prob will work for some and not for others because Walgreens is iffy about if they will adjust the price or not. Thanks for sharing your experience Shelley.
Thanks Kristy. It’s frustrating that things aren’t the same across the board. I did look up the Walgreens coupon policy which they have posted on their webpage here http://www.walgreens.com/topic/help/generalhelp/coupon_policy_main.jsp?erule=couponpolicy
and it does state that they will accept a coupon higher than the selling price but will adjust it to the selling price. I will just have to print their store coupon policy page and bring it with me next time : )
